Morning Wellness Activities

Rise and shine with morning wellness activities! Personal health and wellness are an important focus of the HBA Annual Conference. Make sure to pack comfortable clothes and take advantage of the health and wellness initiatives offered this year. 

NOTE: All times listed in Eastern Time. While all options will be open to walk-ups during the event, priority for yoga and meditation will be given to those who pre-register during the event registration process, due to limited capacities. 

 

Yoga

Tuesday, 24 September & Wednesday, 25 September

7:00 – 8:00 AM

Join an instructor from local studio At My Yoga + Pilates for an hour of mindfulness with breath and movement. This class welcomes yogis from all walks of life as options for regression and progression will be provided to accommodate more beginner and advanced practitioners. The flow sequences incorporate the whole body to enhance balance, flexibility, and strength for a feeling of joy and a more profound connection within.  

Meditation

Tuesday, 24 September & Wednesday, 25 September

7:00 – 8:00 AM

Step away from the busyness of the outside world and delve deeper into the tranquil space of your inner peace in the middle of the Sheraton Centre Toronto’s beautiful waterfall garden (weather permitting). This 60-minute meditation session from At My Yoga + Pilates consists of a short and accessible movement-based practice to prepare the body for meditation, followed by a breathing technique that will begin our meditation practice to calm the mind and quiet down the thoughts. During the meditation part, short guidance is going to be provided using techniques to draw awareness within. The session will end with a relaxing closing sequence to solidify our efforts to expand our awareness and unite our mind, body, and spirit.  

Morning Cardio

Kickstart your day with an invigorating morning cardio session! This is a perfect opportunity to get your blood pumping, explore Toronto, and connect with fellow attendees. Whether you’re walking or running, you’ll end feeling energized, focused, and ready to take on the day’s conference activities!
