Johanna Mercer Bio

Johanna is a world traveler and serial entrepreneur with 30 years of producing and directing experience in theatre and film, real estate and education. She sees the world through many lenses, builds great teams and solves problems creatively at the highest level.  

Johanna has directed at the Shaw Festival, the Wooster Group (NYC) and Canadian Stage. Corporate film clients include the AIDS Foundation of Canada, Pfizer and the BC Nurses Union. She taught at McGill and the National Theatre School of Canada and for her son, founded the Booker School in Port Williams NS, which won the Governor General’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Her first job was in her family’s pharmacy in rural Saskatchewan.
